    (1) Is the narrator somewhat cautious about not revealing too much about himself? Support your point......from the text.

    To me:
    cautious about not revealing too much = cautious about revealing only something/somewhat/to some degree.

    It was his blindness which the narrator most earnestly did not want to reveal to the girl passenger at all (as per the text). But why do you say that the narrator was somewhat cautious about not revealing too much about himself?
    You mean the narrator wanted to reveal his blindness to some degree but not too much??? Is it the fact???
