FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS
The
West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB) announces for a walk-in-interview
for engagement of Junior Research Fellows for the following project:

Educational
Qualification
|
: M.Sc.
degree in Chemistry
/ Environmental Management
/
Environmental Science / Life Sciences /
Microbiology or any discipline
associated with the pollution assessment /
Environment management
with valid NET/GATE qualification.
|
|
Age Limit
|
: Age not exceeding 28 years as on date of
interview (upper limit is
relaxable upto 5 years in case of candidate
belonging to SC/ST, female
candidates and 3 years in case of OBC
candidates).
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC are
required to produce the
Original Caste Certificate issued by the
Competent Authority.

Remuneration
|
:
Consolidated Pay of Rs. 32,000/- (Rupees thirty two thousand) per
month.
|
|
Job Description
|
:
Sampling and physico-chemical and microbiological/biological analysis
of water (surface/ground/industrial
discharge) samples and other
works
associated with the
project as will
be assigned by
the
Laboratory In-charge.
|
|
Working days/hours
|
:
Engagement of the Junior Research Fellows will be on full time basis.
1000 hrs to 1750 hrs during Monday to
Friday. Attending the
laboratory or sampling site during holidays
or beyond office hours may
be required as demanded by the project work
and as assigned by the
Laboratory In-charge.
Frequent travelling for collection of
samples across the State may be
required.

Other
conditions
|
: 1.
|
Recruitment will be made through
Walk-in-Interview, however,
relevant documents/mark-sheets/certificates
would be verified
and screening would be made.
|
2.
|
The WBPCB reserves the right not to fill up
the above advertised
posts, and if so decides, no
correspondence/representation will be
entertained in regard to the
walk-in-interview and/or selection.
|
|
3.
|
Positions are purely temporary and
engagements will be made on
contractual basis.
|
|
4.
|
The engagement will be coterminous with the
project.
|
|
5.
|
The engagement can be terminated at any time
with one month’s
notice from either side without assigning any
reason whatsoever.
|
|
6.
|
Contractual
service of the
Junior Research Fellows
will be
governed as per norms of Department of Science and Technology,
Govt. of India.
|
|
7.
|
This engagement will not confer any claims,
rights, interests or
further claims for any job or further
engagement / appointment in
West
Bengal Pollution Control
Board. The WBPCB
has no
obligation to extend the engagement period.
|
|
8.
|
No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in
the interview.
|
|
9.
|
The eligible/qualified candidate can appear
for walk-in-interview
at the venue at the date and time as
mentioned below. However,
interview may continue on next working day
depending on
number of candidates.
|
|
10.
|
While appearing for the interview, the
candidates are required to
submit an application neatly handwritten or
typed out in A4 size
paper giving full bio-data (with contact
phone no. and email
address) with a recent passport size
photograph pasted on it along
with one set of self attested copies of
testimonials. Candidates will
have to produce the original testimonials
during interview for
verification.
